Discovering user needs
GOALS

Understand users’ preferences in both Billing and Timekeeping areas.

Identify common actions and tasks to inform future dashboard designs.

Gather feedback to pinpoint areas for improvement and address user pain points.

Propose dashboard designs that align with current UX trends, heuristic principles, and the Filevine Design System.
PROCESS

Completed a content inventory of all Billing pages, sub-pages, and states, analyzing each to identify areas for improvement.

Brainstormed and sketched ideas for a Billing dashboard, while also developing a sitemap to optimize the organization of Billing pages.
-
Facilitated a moderated card-sorting session with 12 Filevine users, where participants grouped and ranked cards based on their own logic, helping us understand their mental models and guide our design choices.
